St. Anthony Community Hospital’s Annual Golf & Tennis Classic Raises More than $40,000 for the Hospital’s Medical Equipment and Technology Fund
WARWICK, NY – (September 16) - More than 90 area residents took to the greens and the courts – and raised over $40,000– at St. Anthony Community Hospital's Annual Golf & Tennis Classic on Wednesday, September 14. The Warwick Health Foundation sponsored the classic, which was held at the Warwick Valley Country Club.
Proceeds from the event will support the Medical Equipment and Technology Fund at St. Anthony Community Hospital. "The monies we raised at this year's classic will help ensure that our healthcare providers have access to state-of-the-art equipment and technology when caring for the community," said Raul Berina, chairman of the Bon Secours Warwick Health Foundation. "The Golf & Tennis Classic is becoming a tradition; it's a perfect way for the community to show its support for the hospital while having a great day!"
JoAnn Daly of Warwick won a cash prize of $5,000 for sinking a 51-foot putt in the Putting Contest.
The Bon Secours Warwick Health Foundation supports advances in health for our community. In past years, proceeds from the Golf & Tennis Classic, as well as other events, have helped to fund patient room renovations, nursing education and repairs to the parking lot at St. Anthony Community Hospital. They also have helped fund Grandparents Day at Schervier Pavilion and the installation of air conditioning and the renovation of residents' room at Mount Alverno Center.
