A HOLIDAY MESSAGE
To the Physicians, Staff and Volunteers of the Warwick Health Care Campus
By: Leah Cerkvenik, EVP/Administrator
As we enjoy the holiday season and prepare to welcome the New Year, I want to take this opportunity to thank you for your hard work and continued dedication to our mission over this past year.
2004 was an incredible year for the Warwick Health Care Campus. We’ve upgraded, replaced and added new equipment; implemented a sub-acute service-line at Schervier Pavilion; successfully completed JCAHO accreditation across the campus; added a new operating room; finalized plans for a hospital modernization project; completed implementation of a campus wide palliative care program; began a parish nurse program; designed plans and received DOH approval to open a new community based Women’s Imaging Center in the Town of Warwick. These are just few of the projects we’ve tackled this year.
In 2004, we saw SACH received 12 national awards for patient satisfaction and MAC received high scores on their PRC resident satisfaction surveys. We held our first Winding Through Warwick Holiday House Tour and through the generosity of campus staff we supported and participated in AHA Heart Walk; Breast Cancer Walk; Juvenile Diabetes March; Healthy Orange Healthy Heart and Colon Cancer Awareness projects; organized health fairs, hosted free health screenings and numerous wellness program and much more.
As I look back on this past year, I do so with a sense of extreme pride and deep gratitude to all of you for your continued dedication and commitment to our patients, our residents and our community. Our successes are your successes. And as I count my blessings this holiday season, the blessing of working with a team like you is one for which I am truly grateful.
I also thank those of you who will be working during the holidays, sacrificing time with family and friends to tend to those entrusted to our care – people who won’t be home for the holidays. Your reassuring presence and compassionate care will make this difficult time more pleasant.
I want to send a special thank you to all of you for the support you have given me this past year and for the spirit of goodwill you demonstrate every day of the year.
My prayers are with those who can’t be with us this holiday season – and with our young service women and men who are working to make our world a safer place to live.
On behalf of our Sponsors and Board of Directors I wish you all the joy of the holiday season and a happy and healthy New Year – God Bless and keep you always.
