PARKING LOT CONSTRUCTION UPDATES
As you know, the Hospital parking lot is under construction. Construction of any type is always stressful for everyone and I am aware of concerns about the loss of parking spaces as a result. I want to thank you for the cooperation and patience you have demonstrated during this disruption. Please be advised that a team is currently examining options to improve parking for both our patients and visitors. One such option is alternative parking for staff at the Warwick Reform Church directly across from the Hospital on Maple Avenue. Church leadership has graciously offered the use of their back parking lot for our staff/physicians. Employees wishing to use the Reform Church parking may do so Monday through Friday anytime in addition to Saturday and Sunday after 3:00 PM. Again, I thank you for your continued support during the construction and will keep you updated as more information becomes available.
Speaking of parking lots, the expansion and paving of the parking area at Mt. Alverno Center is currently underway and we hope to have the work completed in the next few weeks. Thank you to MAC and CBO staff for their support during this time too. Once the project is complete it will provide us with much needed additional parking space.
WELCOME NEW DIRECTORS
I am pleased to announce the appointment of two strong additions to our Warwick Health Care Campus administrative team Michael Narciso, Director of Food Services and Rudell (Rudy) Breedy, Director of Development. Both Michael and Rudy joined our healthcare family earlier this month and bring with them a wealth of knowledge and experience in their respective fields. I know you join me in welcoming them to the Bon Secours and Warwick Health Care family.
SPECIAL THANKS
I want to thank SACHA (St. Anthony Community Hospital Auxiliary) for hosting The Annual June ‘under the tent’ Party on June 14th. Gloria Okon, SACHA president tells me that thanks to the generosity of staff, physicians and our community, they raised over $20,000. The June Party is SACHA’s major fundraising event of the year and the proceeds from this and other SACHA events go toward the purchase of needed equipment for the Hospital. THANK YOU SACHA.
A special note of appreciation is sent to Honorary Chair Leo Kaytes, Event Chair Dr. Lynne DeBrakaleer and the members of the planning committee for our NEW YORK – NEW YORK Spring Gala. This year’s event raised a record $100,000. We also congratulate this years Lifetime Achievement Award Recipient Jerome Quint, M.D., for all he has done and continues to do for SACH our System and our community. |
