Administrative Campus Update
The past two months have been both busy and exciting for the Bon Secours Family both for our local Charity System and for BSHSI national (HSO).
ON THE NATIONAL FRONT: In September I had an opportunity to meet with HSO leadership and representatives from our other Systems. I’m pleased to report that last year was the best year financially in HSO’s 20-year history. Mr. Chris Carney, BSHSI Chief Executive Officer extended his gratitude to all local Systems for their contributions to making BSHSI successful and looks forward to continuing to Build a Unified Bon Secours.
CHARITY SYSTEM UPDATE: We send our congratulations to Good Samaritan Hospital who celebrated its 100th Anniversary at a special mass conducted by His Eminence Edward Cardinal Egan earlier this month. Good Samaritan continues to move forward on the development of its Cardiac Surgery Project, with an application before the State to initiate a primary angioplasty program. I will keep you updated as news becomes available.
WARWICK HEALTH CARE CAMPUS NEWS: On the home front we have lots to report.
On the financial front, I am happy to report that for the first two months of our fiscal year Warwick Health Care Campus facilities continue to report strong results. Although our challenges persist, your diligence continues to bring us the success we need.

We continue to reach out into our community, bringing good help to those in need. I want to thank the staff and physicians who worked so hard on programs like the Free Colorectal Cancer Screenings, Diabetes Screenings, Women’s Health and Wellness Fair and the many other programs you have volunteered to present and support. It truly makes a difference.
I want to extend special congratulations to Susan Fazio, Nursing Administrative Assistant and David Bedosky, Director Food and Nutrition; recipients Bon Secours 2002 Dedicated Service Award. You truly exemplify our Mission in everything you do.
I have just received word that St. Anthony Community Hospital will be awarded two 5-star recognitions, and one 4-star recognition for patient satisfaction from PRC, the national firm that conducts our patient surveys. I will be sending out a separate communication with additional details about the award shortly. Outstanding job!
THANKSGIVING MESSAGE
Thanksgiving is a time of gathering and feasting, and more importantly, it is a time to sit back and list all those things for which we are most grateful.
My list almost always consists of the people in my life, as I suspect most people’s lists do. For this reason, I want to take this time to personally thank each and every one of you … the staff, physicians, and volunteers of the Warwick Health Care Campus, for your caring and unwavering support … not to mention your hard work and steadfast belief in our purpose.
To our Sponsors, Boards of Directors and Contributors, thank you for hearing our voices, for sharing your incredible range of insights and talents with us and for your generosity. It’s because of you we are fulfilling our Mission. You not only enrich our lives, you shore up our faith in our future.
